The Diesel Fuel Shop Technician may be responsible for inspecting parts, conducting tests, identifying its problems to determine what course of action to take, rebuilding various pumps, and cleaning parts. Summary Description:
The Diesel Fuel Shop Technician may be responsible for inspecting parts, conducting tests, identifying its problems to determine what course of action to take, rebuilding various pumps, and cleaning parts. The Fuel Shop Technician may be responsible for all or various duties and responsibilities as listed.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Tests most fuel pumps in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Keeps all shop tools and test equipment in proper order.
- Services and maintains all testing and cleaning equipment.
- Assists in breaking down and cleaning equipment.
- Assists in rebuilding diesel pumps and injectors.
- Assists other technicians as needed.
- May be responsible for assisting in training new employees.
- Keeps the shop, shop bathrooms, and break area clean.
- Assists in other tasks that are needed to ensure quality customer service
- Performs other tasks as required by General Manager, VP of Operations, or Upper Management.
Qualifications and Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
- Strong mechanical background.
- Troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to speak and listen effectively.
- Must have own tools.
- Customer Service experience.
- Basic computer skills.
